At the Barkus Law Firm, P.C., we have a team of attorneys who are all committed to serving our clients with excellent representation and personalized advocacy. Our senior partner Nicole L. Bredahl opened the firm with the goal of providing uncompromising criminal defense and family law to the people of Fargo and Moorhead. She also brings her experience as a local community organizer and her previous work at Bredahl & Associates, P.C., where she did criminal defense and family law. Tracy Reames brings her experience as a former prosecutor with the local criminal justice system to bear in the firm’s criminal law practice. Together the team is capable of handling any of the cases that our clients bring to us.

At the Barkus Law Firm, P.C., our attorneys have dedicated themselves to public service. Trent Barkus has served in the United States Navy Reserve since 2016, and prior to that he served on active duty in the United States Navy from 2010 to 2016, during which time he served on the USS Nimitz as an intelligence analyst. During his time aboard the USS Nimitz, he helped support Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013, which was extended due to ongoing conflict in Syria. After his time on active duty, Trent worked at the firm Bredahl & Associates, P.C., where he began his legal career before joining the Barkus Law Firm, P.C.
